"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."

Valley Voje is widely spread middle part of Mostnica gorge with altitude somewhat above 700 meters. It starts at Stara Fužina and ends beneath the narrow and high peaks of mountain Tosc and pastures of Pokljuka. Toward the end you will discover a beautiful waterfall Voje. The surface is covered with ground glacial moraine, and in the south Voje is closed by the embankment of the frontal moraine. The plateau is rich in water and is a typical U-shaped glacial valley. To this day, only autumn pasture has been preserved on the plateau, so we can observe cows here in the autumn months. The four brave men from Bohinj were the first to climb Triglav starting their way along Valley Voje (August 26, 1778).

You will find renovated mountain hut Voje here with great gastronomy options (go for the homemade dumplings) and another snack bar called Slap Voje just before you reach the waterfall toward the end of the valley.

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.”
